Package did implements W3C's Decentralized Identifier (DID) standard. See https://www.w3.org/TR/did-core/ for the specification. BUG(pascaldekloe): Version 1.0 of the DID standard states that the DID URL syntax “supports a simple format for parameters”, which is not to say that the query part always is a parameter encoding. The actual format of such “simple format” remains unspecified. As a result, equivalence testing of the query part has no formal way to determine whether "?a%3Db" equals "?a=b". JSON-LD is omitted by design. According to the standard: “A remote context may also be referenced using a relative URL, which is resolved relative to the location of the document containing the reference.”. On top of that, “JSON documents can be interpreted as JSON-LD without having to be modified by referencing a context via an HTTP Link Header …”.
